Excellent Dining Experience! by Gwen M. at InsiderPages

Four of us visited Carrabbas for Valentine's Day and it was a wonderful choice! It was the 1st time any of us had been there.

The food was excellent! Very good quality and taste. Presentation was attractive and appetizing.

The service was impressive and our server was well informed concerning menu items. Very friendly and helpful. Always there to meet our needs without being intrusive during our dinner.

The price was within reason considering the appetizers, wine and dessert that we ordered along with our dinners.

Would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone that is looking for a special evening out.

My only suggestion would be for the restaurant to accept reservations.

An open kitchen churns out wood-fired pizzas and fresh-made pastas at this casual Sicilian-American chain.

by Contributor at Citysearch

In Short
Decorated with family photos of founders Damian Mandola and Johnny Carrabba, the open dining rooms pack groups of friends and extended families into four- and six-person tables and booths; smaller parties or couples can grab stools at the open kitchen's adjoining bar to watch chefs make dinner. The traditional southern Italian menu offers grill specialties like steak Marsala and fire-roasted chicken breast with sun-dried tomatoes; pasta dishes include fettuccine Alfredo and garlic-sauteed shrimp with linguine.

Really doesn't live up to the hype

by spycom at Citysearch

Perhaps it was a mistake going in there with expectations, but I was all but completely disappointed. To me the food was average and it was definitely too crowded. Some locals might be under the impression that this is a local restaurant, but that's not the case, they're a chain... we're a very local proud town and I think that's why a lot of people go there.

For the price and atmosphere, I'd just as soon go to Olive Garden before going there again. (Provided those were the only two choices)

  • Pros: ??? I didn't get sick...
  • Cons: The oil that they served with the bread was standard Olive oil, it lacked the flavor of a refined oil.

Great food and good place for a date

by idgerow at Citysearch

I loved this resturant. It is a high class place but without the high class prices. Definantly romantic. You can eat there really cheap or try something a little more exotic and spend a little more. The food is great. I have eaten here many times and have never had bad food or service. If you ever get the opportunity to sit up at the pasta bar or the pizza bar, I would definately recomend it. Just don't sit there if you have a large group and want to talk alot (think, it's bar seating, hard to talk to someone sitting four chairs away). But, it is neat to watch the cooks at work. They offer you fresh Italian bread with a seasoned oil to dip it in. Since I have started going here, bread and seasoned oil has become a staple in my house. If you are a chocolate lover, try their chocolate cake. It is to die for. If your not a chocolate lover, still try their chocolate cake, but find someone to share it with or plan on taking some of it home. It is very rich. I am not big on sweets, but I always have to get a peice. You'll never have better.

On the down side, there is not much waiting room and if it is busy, it can get very crowded at the door. That and their tables are placed very close together, so if you can request a booth.

  • Pros: good food, good prices, romantic
  • Cons: small waiting area and tables are too close together

Great Italian Food

by boobie1 at Citysearch

I have visited Carrabba's quit a few times and have NEVER been disapointed. The food is out of this world, and the setting is cozy and warm. I think for the price of the food, you get what you pay for. They have the best bread it's warm and they bring it to your table with a plate that they put herbs and olive oil on and you dip the bread it in "OH MY GOSH IT'S AWSOME". If you get the chance to go, please do you will love i'm sure.

  • Pros: The food, Ambience, Service
  • Cons: If you get there after 6:00 they have a wait. Sometimes I think the Tables could be spread out a little more so youre not so close to the next person
