Had a joint birthday party here with my boyfriend and despite our large group, we got a great private spot with easy access to the bar. Super fun night. Everyone had a great time and all the staff were cool and accommodating.

I had a blast at this location. The staff was very accommodating, and very nice. I called 2 weeks in advance and I reserved a few tables for my birthday party. When I arrived everything pretty much ran smoothly. There were no issues with the staff. The manger that night who's name I can't remember was very helpful through out the night. The guy at the door George was very polite. Overall I had a great time. The music was on point. The drinks were very tasty and all my friends who came had fun. Bathrooms will always be a problem at any busy night spot. I would for sure go back and have another birthday party here!

Pros: Great drinks, Great music, Great hospitality from the manager and door guy (george)

Cons: bathrooms. rude female bartender (miss "I'm not even suppose to be here")

I had a bday party there this saturday night and it was awesome. the bouncers were really nice and my friends did not have any problems getting in. I called HE about a month in advance for a table for my friends and they were very friendly and called me back the same day. I called a week before my event to confirm. They reserved the champagne room for me which was downstairs and in the back. It was a nice sitting area for my friends since it was in the corner and near the downstairs bar so we kinda had our own little place. We did not stay in the room much since there were 20-30 or us there and we did not all fit. We left our bag and jackets there and some of my friends that wanted some quiet time away from the crowd were able to have it. A bouncer stood near our door the whole time. He was very nice to me and my friends and he also joked with us. I think since my group was kinda big he wanted to make sure everything was ok. The place is a bit small but it wasnt like some other bar/lounges in nyc that allows everyone in that makes it so crowded you cant breath. I was able to move around both floors just fine. There was a mixed crowd there. The music was good and the dj was friendly. My friends and I requested songs and he was nice enough to play it for us. If you are looking for a place to throw a fun party this is the place. they do not require bottle service which is a big plus. There was no cover for my friends and it was hassle free. I have a fun time and I would have a party there again. One thing I would say is that the music could have been louder. It didnt really bother me because I closer you got to the dance floor and dj it was louder. Thanks HE for a fun azz time.

I threw a party at Happy Ending and it was an awesome night! I had called a few weeks in advance to make a reservation, and when we arrived the night of the party we had a great corner with a few tables reserved for our party. The music was great, the drinks were great, and the staff was very helpful. Everyone had a great time, I highly recommend throwing your party at Happy Ending!

So glad I chose to make birthday plans at Happy Ending. I was super nervous that something might go wrong with our reservation and that my special day could be ruined by sloppy bar management. It’s kind of a big deal to trust a place with your party. Everything worked out great though and I would recommend Happy Ending to any of my friends. Door staff was welcoming. Our waitress was a total sweetheart and she checked our table routinely. Drinks were awesome and so was the DJ. The manager was really nice and made sure that we were having a good time. Other venues could really take lesson from this place on customer service. Kudos!

Pros: Easy reservations. Great staff. Great music

Cons: none

I arrived at Happy Endings around 12am. Getting was no problem, no line at all. Once in we checked our coat and walked 5 feet. Security said we can't stand there. The place was so packed, there was no where to walk. Our party had reserved a table so after pushing our way through the crowd we finally got to our table. Of course we wanted to drink. After waiting 45minutes at the bar we finally got a drink. But, that was a waste of time because walking or pushing our way through the crowd half of my drink was either on the floor or on my shirt. This place reminds me of back in the days when you went to a house party that was over crowed. I guess this wasn't for me.

Went here on a Saturday night around 12am. Indeed it's easy to get in. There was no room to move. People were literally on top of each other, spilling their drinks every which way. Both floors were packed like this. If you want to relive the I'm 18 frat days, then you've found your spot. We left after 5 minutes at which point they were letting in dozens of more people!

Pros: Easy to get in, good music

Cons: They show no restaint on capacity, will fill place to the brim

I go here on the regular and security is always friendly. There's no cover charge and no dresscode and still the crowd remains upscale. The drinks are moderately priced and the bartenders are all very friendly as well. This is one of the few places that you don't have to reserve a table in advance and buy a bottle to be in a private room. Downstairs there are tiled "shower rooms" that you and your friends can sit in and get wasted. I've even brought bottles inside and they had no problem with that. I love this place. Once I went there on a stormy night and as I was leaving, security voluntarily went to coat check and got me an umbrella. I can't think of another place that would do half the things that the people here do.

Pros: Friendly security and great service. No cover and no dresscode, great prices.

Cons: None

I was shocked by the lack of pretentiousness of this very fun place! After researching exhaustively on citysearch, I decided to have my birthday party there last Saturday. I inquired on the website about reservations; they got back to me right away. When I called they were out of tables without bottle service, so I made a reservation for a bottle table. The great thing is you only have to get one bottle no matter how many people come, which in this city is unusual. They also did not take my credit card info, which made me nervous. But when I got to the door (around 11pm, no line), I started to say I was having my bday party there and the doorman interrupted already knowing my name and immediately let my friends and me in. Two friends had arrrived before me and they were already sitting at my table. Thought it was nice they didn't have to wait. Anyone who showed up before 11:30 was allowed to bypass the line. No one had any trouble getting in and everyone had a really great time! We didn't deal with any attitude; the waitress was easy to find and not slow with our drinks. Everyone was able to relax and dance (liked the music!) and do whatever. I was sooo nervous about the evening because I've had many NYC birthdays and friends' birthdays go awry with bouncers and friends not being able to get in, or clubs saying you never called them a set up a guestlist (which you do not have to do here, by the way). What I really wanted was everyone to be able to relax and enjoy themselves and have a good time in a cozy place with a nice ambiance. It was a success; probably my best birthday ever!

Pros: friendly attentive service

Cons: none so far

I've thrown 4 birthday parties and one farewell party here over the last 2 years and I have had only the most positive experiences with Happy Endings. The bouncer is very no-fuss and as long as you know whose party you're going to, you can walk right in the door with no lines or tough door BS. The drinks are pretty strong and their cocktails are fabulous, especially the grapefruit and champagne cocktail..I forget the name. The staff is friendly and the downstairs area is perfect for private parties. I am consistently shocked by how accomodating and friendly their manager is. If he says he's going to give you the space, he does. No changes or cancellations, no minimum deposit, nothing! And every friend of mine that's been here has loved the music, the ambience (especially the sauna booths downstairs) and the drinks. I highly recommend Happy Ending to anyone.

Pros: great music, strong drinks, easy door, friendly staff, great for private parties

Cons: expensive cocktails, can get crowded on a weekend, coat check line takes forever
