It's like Cheers, but weirder...

Ah Wesley's, my favorite little place downtown. Decent prices, unpredictable atmosphere and not so dangerous as another review would have you think. As far as I know the only bouncers at Wesley's are the bartenders and they're more likely to call the cops than they are to get involved.

Anyway, it's a comfortable atmosphere, very casual. On the weekends they like to have bands come in and 9 out of 10 times there is no cover.

Avoid Dangerous

We went to this bar late and was enjoying a good band.The music was good however the other patrons and the staff seemed rude.I saw a fight outside where one guy was getting beat up out front by four other people, one of which was the bouncer.At the end of the night a member in our party was in an argument with a girl but we all left the bar most everyone was in the car when a mob of people smashed 2 windows on the vehicle with a night stick and then they pulled out the guy, that was arguing earlier,through the broken window and beat him severely breaking his nose and inflecting a head wound which required staples.The bouncer of this bar was provoking another passenger to get out and fight and he was trying to get in through the locked door.This seems like a local hangout and they don't tolerate outsiders.Just a word of caution.

• Cons: Don't go if you value saftey

Best place to be downtown

Wesley's is hands down the best place to go out in Toledo. Everytime I have been there, the bartenders and patrons were very friendly. Saturdays and Sundays are great for watching football and having a great time.
