As a last resort . . ..
For my money, I will go to the LJS near Laskey and avoid this one - service is painfully slow, staff are snippy or are in a constant snit about something, interior is not clean, no handsoap in the restroom (wonder about employee handwashing post potty), and to top it all off, it is expensive. I love LJS on the other side of the river and will go elsewhere when I'm on the east side. When a parking lot is empty at lunch time during the week, there IS a reason . . .
A quick-service locale for landlubbers to dine on deep-fried seafood and Southern-inspired sides.. In Short Ashore since 1969 and inspired by Robert Louis Stevenson's "Treasure Island," this pirate-themed fast-food chain has since gone global. Batter-dipped fish, chicken and shrimp "planks" are the menu staples, combined with fries, coleslaw, hushpuppies, corn and desserts to create value baskets and Treasure Chest Family Meals. Several locations also feature sister-company menus from Taco Bell, Pizza Hut, KFC and A&W. Fish sandwiches, fried veggie bites and salads are also available.
