I strongly urge NOT to gooo!!. We called to check what was on the buffet menu for that day. The owner told us about five different kinds from which we FOUND ONLY TWO. Basically it was A BAIT (HOOK)!!!!WE barely ate anything because WE DIDN'T FIND THE DISH THAT WE WENT FOR. SO, WE ASKED the waitress to make us more as the buffet wasn't close yet. The waitress and the manager refused to make us more of that kind even though the manger knew that I had asked about it by phone! He started raising his voice saying that he doesn't guarantee any food in the buffet, and we should eat from the other dishes. He knew that they didn't even have but one more which was chicken curry. The others were side dishes. In short, he was so rude not only by yelling at us, but also by taking away the NAN bread basket which he claimed he gave as a second one as complementary!!!! I advise you guys not to over look the negative comments as we UNFORTUNATELY did !!!!

really is a jewel!!. this place has soon become one of my favorite places to dine in and take out. the food is some of the best I've ever had. its all made from scratch and made fresh to order. the chicken tikki masala is a MUST! yes, sometimes the food takes a bit longer to come out when its busy BUT its worth the wait. all the dinners are served with papadom with tamrin sauce and onion chutney, plus a huge house salad...on the house! the portions are a generous size, don't worry about having to order rice or bread separately it comes with your meal. you can't beat the price for all that food. you never leave hungry or empty handed. I'm always greeted with a smile and never have to wait for a table. very friendly workers that are very knowledgeable of the vast menu. they even have a belly dancer in on busy nights to keep the customers entertained. if your looking for good food and a great atmosphere I highly recommend the indian jewel of toledo.

So Glad to have The Jewel. They recently moved from way out on Alexis to The South End in Maumee, and are even better. Same menu, but way better atmosphere. The food is amazing and the menu is big. They now have a lunch buffet that I hear is incredible. My favorite is the stuffed bread app. All their breads are worth trying. All meals are served in authentic Indian style copper cooking pots and are heating as you eat with candles underneath. The staff is very friendly but some have trouble explaining as they speak only a little English. Best Indian food in Toledo, by far
