I took my car in to have a chip in the windshield repaired. While repairing, the chip spread across the windshield into an unfixable fissure. The repair was done in the sun (which I have now read highly increases the likelihood of it spreading while being fixed). I would have thought that auto glass repair technicians would know this fact. In addition, I was not warned that this could occur or asked to sign any waiver. They were not apologetic or willing to give any deals on the windshield replacement that they had ultimately caused.
