Editorial Review for Cutler Salon – by Jacqui Stafford
The Scene
Gregarious Australian Rodney Cutler's unpretentious salon is just steps away from chi-chi Park Avenue, but feels worlds away. With clients ranging from up-and-coming models and actors to uptown girls and downtown boys, the salon boasts a rare blend of ultra-hip stylishness and relaxed, down-to-earth attentiveness that's all the more unbelievable when you note the affordable prices.
The Services
Former Bumble and Bumble star Cutler's Redken Flagship salon offers wearable, fashion-forward cuts, perfect blowouts, flattering color and creative techniques, including "stitching" and straight-edge razor cutting. Try to snag one of the famous session stylists who call Cutler home when not at an editorial shoot or fashion show; that way, when you bring in a look from a magazine, you might get the actual stylist who created it. All clients enjoy a free shoulder and back massage with their service, or hand massages on busy days.

had "David" cut my hair for many times. The first time was fine, but since then it's getting worse and worse. I just had my hair done last week and it is unbelivably horrible. There is no taste, and actually ugly. I can not down my hair, because there are no visible layers and I can not ponytail my hair because he cut in a very wierd way. The real problems were he did not care about his client and he was very rude all the time. He did not ask what I wanted before he started, nor he asked if I liked it after he finished. He almost stared me to threaten not to say anaything! Every time I went there I tipped him over 30 + cut ($110), just because to make him cut my hair at his best - it was totally worthless. Last time I went there with my friend, she said she never saw any stylist that rude before. Now I am done with him, it was totally NOT WORTH MY TIME and MONEY. I do not know about other hairstylists, so I would not say this place is bad in general but certainly "David" is not the one you want to pay for 110 + tip. I really regret that I went there and waste my time.

I just got the best cut I have ever had in my life! I highly recommend Sarah for an excellent cut and blowdry. She cut my sister's hair first, and I was hesitant at first because I have been going to someone for years but this was just exceptional. She is very friendly and listened to me, but what was so great about her is that she had a vision for what would look best on me. She worked with the way i style my own hair and gave me layers that would be easy for me to maintain. I had a great feeling about her right away as she exudes a confidence about her, that makes you feel at ease. From begining to end, I had a great experience with her. She is an absolute joy. Thanks Sarah!
Pros: Sarah!
Cons: Felt a bit lost
