Good Stuff!. This place is great for people looking for Mediterranean food in a great atmosphere. They have an outstanding list of wines, and even a retail wine shop-- very cool. It so much fun to plan a girl's night out and shop at Levis and then come here for some appetizers to share! Thinking about having my family party in their private room. It's very nice!
Best Middle Eastern in Toledo. I've enjoyed many of the local Middle Eastern restaurants in Toledo, but Poco Piatti is a little hipper and in a much better location. The food is incredible and they also have tapas and Greek food that spices up the menu. It's also a great place to get cocktails and they have live music certain nights of the week. If you like hummus, that flaming cheese appetizer, grape leaves etc. check out Poco Piatti.
Ain't What She Used to Be....
I used to love this restaurant. When it was located on Monroe Street. When it served unique, rotating menu items. When said food quality was solid, not hit or miss or missssss. This last visit to the Perrysburg location was my last.
After several return trips where we were served rudely...at the bar...and horribly in a booth...I had to sit through a dinner with visiting relatives. The service was awful. We arrived on the hour. We were not greeted at our table until 25 after. Our drinks weren't served until 40 after. By the BARTENDER! The rest of our service was spotty at best. Leaving us to request help from other employees.
The food was good, but not consistent. And I truly used to love this restaurant. We celebrated several graduations and birthdays at Poco over the last five years. I was most disappointed that we had invited our "out of the country" guests to a local haunt that displayed such poor service.
Go to the Beirut instead!. God help you if you decide to try the Markouk Chicken Wraps, they are aweful! They taste like old fish! We were there on a wednesday, and it was slow, but they still sent the wraps out with burnt edges! Another dish we tried as the Mujadara, it wasn't bad it just lacked spice and salt. It was just plain boring. The Calamari Fritti was prepared well, but the accompanying sauces were bland and boring. There was a marinara that would have been done some justice had it been made spicy, and searved warm. The problem was what grease was present on the calamari just overpowered the marinara. It also came with a garlic mayo which is ok, but between the two sauces it was a downer. We tried the greek potoatos from the sides menu, they were good but how hard is it to cook potatoes? My recommendation is that the menu needs to be upped before they even think of continuing. It's just really bad food in a nice setting. Paying for ambiance does not fill my belly!
