seaway. if you like bone fragments & gristle in your cuts of meat, Seaway Marketplace is where you want to shop! I've always wondered what 1/4 inch thick porterhouse steaks would look like.Seaway caters to a certain type of clientelle,& pork brains are not exactly what I had in mind to feed my children.No wonder theres an obesity problem in the U.S.

AWESOME MEAT SELECTION!. I checked this place out a couple weeks back, and was very excited to discover the most diverse, and amazing meat selection in Toledo. They have sooooo, much to look at plan time to look in the freezer, and fresh area.

They have just about every part of the pig, chicken, and cow you could ever want, House of Meats can not compete. You can get an entire package of chicken gizzard, liver, or hearts. You can get all kings of joints, and organ meat more than anywhere in this city. One of the other pluses is you can get bone in chuck roasts. Bone is the key to great stocks, and sauces so it's nice to know you can enhance a pot roast with extra flavor.

They also have rows, and rows of the standard grocery fair. The only down side is the produce section. It's not the worst I've seen, but it isn't as diverse as it could be. The produce is however always fresh, and the area is clean. The whole store is clean.

The dairy area is also a bit lacking. If I remember correctly they offer olyl one brand of yogurt, maybe two. The cheese selection isn't much to write home about either. You'll be able to get american slices, and the typical cheeses offered at most stores, but again there are only one or two brands so if you have a brand you like you might have to go elsewhere.

The main reason to come is for the meat. If you have been searching for a special cut, and or part, then this place will likely have it. Oh, and the prices are either in line with other stores or cheaper.

Great Place to Shop. I used to shop monthly at Seaway when I lived in Toledo and was very well pleased with the food items, service and the store over-all. The cashiers were friendly and always helpful.
