Sylvania Veterinary Hospital

Great Vet with 24 hr emergency service. I recently changed to Sylvania Vet because I always ended up there after my previous regular vet had closed. The emergency service is great and much better than the other one in the area. The vets are all very friendly, experienced and helpful. If you have an emergency this is definitely the place to go.

The only downfall is that the wait is usually extra long when you have an appointment. I sit there and hour or sometimes two while my cat is in the carrier having major anxiety. The wait time really needs to be decreased, also one of the staff at the desk is a little on the rude side but there is always one bad apple in the bunch.…

SYLVANIA VETERINARY HOSPITAL A VERY BAD EXPERIENCE!!!. Took our dog to the Sylvania Veterinary Hospital just once, but never again!!!!I From the moment we walked in there, the staff was rude, they ignored our dog like it wasn't even there, then ran extensive tests to gin up the bill. Dr. Bob Esplin, who I used to see on Channel 13's "Ask the Expert," was very cold and rude. He bad mouthed our regular vet, which made me very uncomfortable. From that point on, things just kept getting worse at Sylvania Veterinary Hospital. We couldn't get our dog out of there fast enough! Everything at this place is about money and business. We would NEVER take any of our pets there again!!!!!!…

Amazing Staff! Amazing Care!. Being a first time dog owner I didn't know where to take my dog. On the advice of several friends, I called Sylvania Veterinary Hospital. The receptionist was very helpful and suggested I come in for a tour. Everyone was so welcoming and the amount of time that they spent with me seemed extraordinary.

It turned out I ended up needing their services just a few days later when my puppy decided to get sick. I called and got an appointment just 2 hours later. Dr. Esplin is who saw her along with a couple of super sweet assistants. They instantly put my mind at ease that she would be getting the best care. She was admitted to the hospital and had tests and xrays performed. She was in the hospital for 3 days with pancreatitis and a bladder infection. I got a phone call every morning from a doctor with an update. I called all the time to check on her and I even visited with her on many occassions. The entire staff was accomodating and knowledgeable. I was given an estimate that was accurate and when anything needed done in addition to what was on her estimate, they called me for permission.

I am extremely pleased with Sylvania Veterinary Hospital. I have never written a review before but I felt that this company is so top notch that they deserved a great review. My Lucy and I love this place and I cannot wait to get her in for her doggy daycare interview next week! Thanks Sylvania Vet!…
