Thank you Veronica at Salon V!!!!! A couple of month ago, i had my hair completely destroyed as a result of a poor coloring job, so i have been very hesitant about coloring my hair again. Since, i am new in the city, i didn't know who to go to so i stopped a girl on the street whose hair color i absolutely loved and that's how i found Veronica! Veronica was able to not only fix the bad old coloring job, but also finally give me the hair color that i have been trying to get back for the last few years! She is extremely knowledgeable, professional, and totally down to earth! I definitely recommend this place! PS. They serve great wine!

I went to the salon today after reading more than 100 reviews on citysearch and here. I really have to say that I was not disappointed by the results of my haircut by Carolina (pronounced Caroleena); I was really happy with it and dished out 80+ bucks happily and this is pretty rare for me. Given that it was a Monday afternoon, the salon was very quiet and the service was fast (I was out of there in 35 minutes, no kidding). I was there to fix a previous haircut of only 4 weeks ago that left the lower portion of my Asian hair way too thinned out and piecey - no beautiful, self-manageable layers. The hair on top did not frame my face and was all the way down to my chin in one length. You can imagine the disaster of hair not growing out well. Carolina fixed it like the pro that she is. She listened carefully to what I wanted and everytime when I spoke during the cut she stopped to listen. The blowout she did was great (I hinted something like Farrah Fawcett and voila!). I really appreciate that from a hairstylist. I've gone to many salons in NYC as well as overseas and it is rare to find people who listen and give you exactly what you want! I am very pleased with my haircut and will continue to go back. I didn't give the salon a 5 star yet - gonna wait for my second trip to see if the results are the same, tested and tried. At the moment, however, I recommend it here on Yelp and will recommend it to friends and family as well.
