WORST Doctor I've EVER met. I was referred to this "doctor" by another doctor... Even tho his office was quite a drive, I decided to make an appointment. The office staff was very friendly; however, upon meeting the doctor, my experience took an immediate 360. In our initial consultation, we started talking about difficulties (with pregnancies) that I'd had in the past, and was not getting the best feeling. He proceeded to ask what medications I was taking, and when I responded that I was prescribed a benzodiazepin for severe anxiety, he looked at me as though I had 3 heads. I kept going. I then mentioned that I was in a treatment program for past addiction, and he stopped me and stated that he would not be my doctor. He didn't say this in a sympathetic manner, but a very cold, callous, and demeaning fashion that made me feel as big as a microbe. I am an educated, sensible professional whom happened to have an issue that was being addressed, and he, in essence, kicked me out of his office for being honest and straightforward. I have NEVER been made to feel so horrible in all my life! He then continued, insinuating that he intended to contact the doctor (my son's pediatrician) whom had referred me, as if to inform him of this "issue"!!! I only wish I knew what agency to report him to...

BEWARE of this doctor!. Only go to Dr. Swann if you:

a) are 100% certain that there will be absolutely no complications during your pregnancy

b) do not mind feeling like a fool who's putting someone out for asking a few extra questions

Unfortunately I had to discover the hard way with Dr. Swann during my recent pregnancy. I encountered problems requiring closer attention than a typical pregnancy. It was then that I learned Dr. Swann is in this business to deal with the trouble-free, routine pregnancies only. Good doctors will step up to the plate when medical problems exist. Dr. Swann hides. I called his office numerous times over the last 2 weeks to have him check me out when numerous alarming signs began in my pregnancy. He would not see me because he closed his office for the Holiday season without an appointed backup to tend to his patients' needs while he was gone. On 4 seperate occasions his answering service paged him for me and he, in turn, said that if I wanted to be seen that I needed to go to the E.R.. Fearing a life or death situation, I went to the E.R. each time. The E.R. doctor was also puzzled as to why he was deflecting me to the E.R. every time instead of following my situation more closely. My final trip to the E.R. was in an ambulance holding my dead son who I gave birth to prematurely. That same day, Dr. Swann had denied me a visit that I had requested because he was not going to be in the office. He did not believe me that there was a problem. He refuses to listen to concerns from patients who know something is not right with their body. Many screams for help, 4 E.R. trips, and a dead son later and Dr. Swann STILL has not seen me nor contacted me. Dr. Swann abandoned me as well the baby inside me during the most desperate time of need I have ever encountered in my life. He left me hanging for 2 weeks. This is not the only Citysearch entry regarding Dr. Swann. Steer clear of him before it happens to you as well. Jim and Dee

Could be better. I agree leejr. My daughter had him for an OB, his bed side manner was nil. His care and concern was nil. Not to go into detail, but her going through a traumatic experience, he was NOT there for her during any of it. In my opinion, he sure didn't follow the medical code of ethics. As of now, she is looking for a better OB doctor. I would say anyone would be better !

Worst Doctor in the World!. This one's for my wife.....This doctor does not relate well with women--or men! For all you ladies that have questions regarding to your medical history or pregnancies. This is not the man to see. He is intimidated by any inquiries or has his issues if you even begin to doubt his answer. Do not question his authority or even begin to know more than he does about YOUR OWN BODY! Very rude, hostile male. Chances are he'll walk out and refer you to another doctor and he does not have time for patients with questions. VERY RUDE demeaning doctor....if you prefer to feel like 'nothing' of the earth...see him first!
